Most of my families don’t like being photographed, and that’s fine! My goal is to make your family session feel more like a fun afternoon out.
We’ll joke, play, explore and probably embrace a little bit of chaos. I’ll take the time to make sure your children feel comfortable before expecting anything from them, because the best photographs happen when they’re allowed to simply be themselves.
My family sessions are rooted in storytelling, and led by your children and the unique dynamic of your family.
Are your kids in their “running absolutely everywhere” era? Cool. I’ll follow their lead.
Are they more “cuddles, kisses and don’t put me down”? Perfect. That’s what we’ll capture.
Shy and need twenty minutes to decide whether I can be trusted? Also completely fine.

When you book with me, I send you a questionnaire to fill out that allows me to get to know your family. I don’t just want to give you a handful of beautiful photos where everyone looks at the camera, so it is important that I get to know what makes your family tick.
The way your toddler scrunches their nose when they laugh. The little hands tangled in your hair. The way your child looks at you when they think nobody else is watching. Dad being climbed on. Mum being pulled in three directions. The belly laughs, the quiet cuddles, the chaos and all those tiny interactions that make your family yours is what I want to photograph.
Some families choose to do an activity together, like flying kites or paper planes, while others bring fruit and have a picnic. Some choose to have their session in a field at sunset while others opt for a basketball court or their own home. The options are endless and completely up to you and your family. If you have a vision, I want to make it happen! But if you don’t, I will come up with a plan that brings out the best in your family.

I primarily shoot in the South Eastern Suburbs, Yarra Valley and Dandenong Ranges but it is not uncommon for me to venture into the CBD or the Mornington peninsula (Travel may apply for these).

Two choices, we can reschedule, or we can roll with it and embrace the rain. The choice is yours and what you think it best for your family.

Yes! I have clothing for mum and offer styling assistance for the whole family. We can talk it through and make sure your clothing looks cohesive. I am not an “All beige” photographer, I love a bit of colour!

A 25% retainer is due to secure any session, with the remainder due prior to the session date.

Photos take around 3 weeks to me finalised and sent to you in an online gallery. But don’t worry, I send sneak peaks 24 hours after your session so you have something while you wait.
