General FAQs

How many pictures will we receive?

The number of images you will receive depends on the duration of your shoot, and in the instance of children, newborns and animals, it can differ based on how they are acting on the day.
Usually, around 60 can be expected from a 1 hour photoshoot, but often the amount is much higher.

How should we dress for our session?

The most important thing is that you and your loved ones feel comfortable and beautiful in your clothing. However, there are certain colour schemes that really appear nicely on camera. When you book with me, I provide a guide that will help you select your outfits.

This guide will come to you via email after you pay your retainer.

What happens in bad weather?

In rainy or stormy weather, I will recommend a reschedule as I cannot risk the life of my cameras, or lenses.
I will not reschedule for overcast weather, while sun is ideal, overcast always provides beautiful images as well.

I do not provide a refund for reschedules due to weather, but I will work with you to find a suitable date.

On another hand, if you have booked a wedding and it rains, the show must go on! We will always find a way to make it work and capture those beautiful images.

When should I book my maternity session?

I recommend booking your maternity session between 30 - 36 weeks, when you are showing your bump in all it's glory, but not too uncomfortable.

What if we are sick?

We all get sick, and that's okay! If you are sick, please let me know with as much notice as possible and we will reschedule. The same goes if I am sick.

Your retainer will be moved toward a future session with me. Please note there will be no refund of the retainer, only a rescheduling.

Are you vaccinated for new borns?

Yes, I am up to date with my required vaccinations, including whopping cough and Covid 19.

I am happy to provide you with my vaccination history on request.

I will never proceed with a newborn shoot if I am feeling unwell.

Do we get the RAW / Unedited images?

No, I do not provide any RAW or unedited files.

Do you have a WWCC?

Yes! I have a valid working with children's check.

How long will I have access to my images?

I am charged for each gallery I hold a month, therefore the downloadable gallery provided will be accessible for at least 20 days after it is sent to you. After this time, it may be removed. Therefore, it is the your responsibility to save the images on an external device.

We don't feel confident in front of a camera, is that okay?

Making people feel comfortable in front of the camera is my specialty!! I've got you! You do not need to know how to pose, I have so many prompts to give you to capture beautiful, natural and fun images.

I totally understand wanting to re-live your day immediately. I send a handful of sneak peaks within 48 hours, and the rest can be expected within a month of your wedding day.

How many photos will I receive?

I do not limit the number of photos you receive. It is dependent on the amount of time I have been hired for and whether there is one photographer or two.

What if we cancel or move our date?

Life happens, I get it! If you need to cancel, your retainer will be non-refundable. I keep this retainer in the case of cancellations because it protects my business, as I have held your date and turned away other potential clients.

If you are moving your date, I will do my best to be available for you, however, I cannot guarantee I will be available on your new date. If I am not available the retainer will remain non refundable, but I will do everything in my ability to help you find a new photographer.

Are there permits needed to shoot in particular locations?

For weddings, photography permits are sometimes required in government owned parks or buildings. If you are wanting to shoot in a location that may require a permit, it will be your responsibility to obtain such permits. However, we will assist you and point you in the right direction.
