Romantic Wedding at The Farm Yarra Valley

Some wedding days just feel like they belong exactly where they are.

Angus and Georgia’s celebration at The Farm Yarra Valley was one of those days, relaxed, romantic, and full of colour in the softest way.

Set in the rolling hills of the Yarra Valley, the venue brought together rustic barn charm, open landscapes, and that beautiful warm light this region does so well.

It was one of those days where nothing felt rushed. Everything just unfolded naturally.

One of the first things that caught my eye was the florals.

Soft rainbow-toned arrangements created by a family member, which made them feel even more meaningful. They weren’t overly styled or overly structured, just joyful, personal, and full of heart.

The colours stood out beautifully against the rustic backdrop of the venue, adding this gentle vibrancy to every space they touched.

The ceremony took place outside the barn at The Farm Yarra Valley, and it was an absolute standout.

It was the kind of space that doesn’t need much added to it. It already holds its own story.

Georgia got ready surrounded by her bridesmaids in soft baby blue — and the energy in the room was everything you hope for on a wedding morning.

Relaxed. Joyful. A little emotional in the background, but mostly just excitement building slowly.

My favourite part of the day was actually here, getting ready with the girls.

There was music playing, laughter filling the room, and those quiet little in-between moments where everything feels real and unfiltered.

Georgia wore a beautiful one-shoulder slip-style dress paired with a veil that moved so effortlessly throughout the day.

Simple, elegant, and perfectly suited to the softness of the venue and the tone of the day.

Nothing felt overdone, just beautifully her.

As the afternoon moved into evening, golden hour rolled in and changed everything.

The light softened across the paddocks and hills surrounding The Farm, and suddenly all the colours from earlier in the day came alive again — especially those rainbow florals.

It was one of those moments where you don’t need to guide much at all. You just let people be together in it.

Angus and Georgia are deeply in love, but what stood out just as much was their people.

There was such a strong sense of connection in their friendship group, warm, familiar faces, big energy, and so much genuine joy for them both.

I’ve actually photographed a few weddings within their friendship circle now, which always adds this beautiful thread of familiarity across different stories.

It makes the day feel like part of something bigger.

Weddings at The Farm Yarra Valley have this beautiful balance of rustic charm and soft elegance.

It’s a space that lets the day breathe, where light, landscape, and connection do most of the storytelling for you.

Later in the evening, speeches and the first dance were held outside under festoon lights, and it couldn’t have suited the day more perfectly.

There’s something about outdoor speeches felt so special! It broke up the evening perfectly.

Surrounded by friends, laughter, and a few emotional moments, it felt like the perfect close to the day.

Returning into the reception space, the dancefloor opened and absolutely kicked off.

It is not my first rodeo with this group at a wedding, so I knew the song that would go off would be “Defying Gravity”
